"Vision Quest" This original oil painting was inspired by the beautiful star patterns I discovered from Mozart's "Magic Flute"  stage design which was created in Vienna, Austria in 1877.   I loved the way they trail upward into the dome of the ceiling.  The rich blue hues of Ultramarine and Cerulean blues combined with unique techniques of layered oil called glazing as done in the way of the Old Masters to create luminous color, give this painting a surreal glow and vibrancy.The idea was to create a magical land of beauty, and a feeling of expansive wonder!
