Inspired by the beauty of Springtime in Mt. Shasta, California, this intimate oil study captures the fleeting magic of delicate blossoms dancing beneath a brilliant blue sky. Painted in oil on a wood panel, the smooth surface allows for subtle transitions of light while preserving expressive, painterly brushwork. Rather than focusing on botanical precision, I wanted to convey the feeling of standing beneath flowering branches watching as sunlight filters through the blossoms and giving you the ability to imagine the sound of birds chirping nearby.
