This graphite sketch was created in my tonal sketchbook in the airplane… part of an ongoing series of travel sketches to study value, form, and edge relationships. Working with a single graphite pencil, I focused on building the structure of the figure through gradual shifts between light and shadow while allowing individual marks to remain visible. Here I wanted to share a quiet moment of introspection that reflects the beauty of liminal spaces, where contemplation, imagination, and transformation merge.
