This floral study focuses on the structure and character of a wild rose in bloom. Working from observation, I explored the contrast between the bright center of the flower, its surrounding petals, and the shapes of the nearby buds and foliage. Through careful attention to value, color temperature, and brushwork, the painting reflects my ongoing interest in capturing natural forms with both accuracy and painterly expression.
